10th Caribbean Internet Governance Forum
The 10th Caribbean Internet Governance Forum, Building national capacity for global influence in Internet Governance, has been announced by the Caribbean Telecommunication Union, to be held in Nassau, Bajamas, 6th-8th August,2014.
The Caribbean Internet Governance Forum (CIGF) is a regional multi-stakeholder forum initiated by the CTU and the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) Secretariat in 2005 to coordinate a regional approach to Internet Governance. The forum has since met annually and the primary products of its work have been the formulation of a Caribbean Internet Governance Policy Framework issued in 2009, the proliferation of Internet Exchange Points and capacity building in IG Principles. The 10th CIGF will address areas of high priority for further policy development and conclude this phase of
consultations to appropriately update and keep current the policy framework.
