Some of the related initiatives focus on: empowering consumer organisations to demand equitable and accessible broadband service offerings, respecting consumers’ rights; advocate for fairer laws and practices in the telecom sector and holding industry players to account, with respect to consumers’ rights; media capacity building initiatives to help raise consumer rights awareness; exploring the power of social media tools to promote consumer activism; and advocating for consumers’ privacy and data protection in the online space.
