IMS Global Learning Consortium

The IMS Global Learning Consortium (IMS GLC) is a global, nonprofit, member organisation that aims to enable a wider adoption of innovative learning technologies in the education and corporate learning sectors worldwide. To this aim, the organisation works on developing open interoperability standards, supporting and encourages adoption through technical services and programmes that highlight effective practices. 

IMS GLC has approved and published a broad range of technical open standards covering issues such as: accessibility and personalisation of online learning resources, common languages for labeling learning data, learning tools interoperability, privacy and security, and digital credentialing. These standards are available under a royalty-free license.
