Sixth CICA Summit

The Sixth Summit of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA) will be held on 12–13 October in Astana, Kazakhstan.

The summit – bringing together heads of state and government of CICA members – is convened every four years to conduct consultations, review the progress of, and set priorities for CICA activities. 

In Astana, CICA leaders are expected to discuss and agree on the following key documents:

  • Astana Statement on CICA Transformation
  • CICA Plan of Action on the Implementation of the UN Global Counter-Terrorism Strategy
  • CICA Leaders’ Statement on Cooperation in the Field of Security of and in the Use of ICTs
  • Concept Paper and Plan of Implementation of the CICA Confidence Building Measures on Security of and in the Use of ICTs for 2022–2023
  • Concept Paper on the Human Dimension
