Expert Group Meeting on Enhancing Capacity to Promote E-Government for Women’s Empowerment in Asia and the Pacific
Within the context of the ‘E-Government for Women’s Empowerment’ project run by the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) and the United Nations Project Office on Governance (UNPOG), an Expert Group Meeting on Enhancing Capacity to Promote E-Government for Women’s Empowerment in Asia and the Pacific’ will be convened on 3-4 October, at the United Nations Conference Centre in Bangkok, Thailand.
The aim of the meeting is to contribute to the preparations of online training of trainer modules that aim to enhance the capacity of government officials to develop and implement policies that promote e-government as a tool for women’s empowerment. Participants will provide input on the structure, design, and content of the training module framework, will identify future steps towards the applications of training modules, including online modalities, and will share knowledge and good practices on promoting e-government for women’s empowerment.
