Global Cyberspace Cooperation Summit VII
The 7th edition of the Global Cyberspace Cooperation Summit will be held on 14-16 March 2017, in Berkeley, California, USA. The event is co-organised by the EastWest Institute and the UC Berkley Center for Long-Term Cybersecurity.
The summit will bring together policymakers, business leaders and technical experts to discuss the most pressing issues in international cyberspace, including securing the Internet of Things (IoT), balancing encryption and lawful access to data, developing norms of behavior, improving the security of information and communications technology (ICT), and strengthening the resilience of critical infrastructure.
The first day of the event will include interactive sessions where participants will develop recommended solutions to specific high consequence problems in cyberspace that remain unsolved. These sessions will focus on ubiquitous encryption and lawful governmental access, resilient cities and the IoT, and increasing the global avalability and use of secure ICT products and services. The remaining two days will feature discussions on topics such as global cooperation in cyberspace, the state of cyber cooperation, systemic risk and cyber insurance, and election systems security.
