Multi-Stakeholder Conference on ‘Digitalisation – Policies for a Digital Future’

Düsseldorf, Germany

In the context of the German presidency of G20, the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy will organise a G20 Multi-Stakeholder Conference on ‘Digitalisation: Policies for a Digital Future’, on 6 April 2017, in Düsseldorf, Germany.

The conference will feature discussions on the opportunities and challenges linked to digitalisation, and on the way forward. These discussions are to provide fresh ideas on how we can better harness the potential of global digitisation, foster networking within business, and build trust in digital technologies by creating greater transparency around them. The programme will include three panels on: Global digitalisation – Harnessing the potential for growth and employment; Digitising production for the future – Internationally harmonising norms and standards; and Encouraging transparency – Creating confidence in the digital world.

Panellists will discuss how we can harness the full potential of digitalisation, how our economies can become even more closely connected, and how we can encourage a positive attitude towards the digital transformation by providing for greater transparency.
