3rd Caribbean Peering and Interconnection Forum
The third Caribbean Peering and Interconnection Forum (CarPIF) will be held on 5–7 July 2017 at Maho Bay, Sint Maarten. The event is organised by the Internet Society, the Caribbean Network Operators Group (CaribNOG), and Packet Clearing House (PCH), with the support of the Caribbean Telecommunications Union (CTU) and the American Registry for Internet Numbers (ARIN).
The forum will bring together regulators, telecommunications operators, Internet service providers, content providers, and other stakeholders to discuss how the Caribbean can leverage opportunities to be derived from greater interconnection between service providers at local, regional, and international levels.
In line with the event’s overarching theme ‘Expanding the Caribbean Internet – Connectivity, Content and Commerce’, sessions will focus on the following topics:
- Regional and local connectivity and Internet infrastructure developments in the Caribbean;
- Content delivery and peering trends in the Caribbean and globally; and
- Digital payments and e-commerce as a driver for innovation and economic development.
