African Internet Governance Forum 2023

The 12th African Internet Governance Forum (AfIGF-2023) is scheduled to take place in Abuja, Nigeria, from 19 – 21 September.

The forum focuses on fostering inclusive discussions about Internet governance issues impacting Africa. The 2023 edition centres around the theme ‘Transforming Africa’s Digital Landscape: Empowering Inclusion, Security, and Innovation.’ Topics of discussion will align with the African Union Agenda 2063 and the Digital Transformation Strategy 2030. The call for session proposals has passed, while acceptance notifications will be published on 4 August 2023.

Additionally, the AfIGF Secretariat has announced the Call for Travel Support, inviting financially constrained African youths to participate in the event. Registration is now open for the AfIGF-2023.
