African Conference for Human Computer Interaction
The inaugural African conference for Human Computer Interaction (AfriCHI) will be held on 21-25 November 2016, in Nairobi, Kenya. The event is organised by a pan-African team, in cooperation with the Association of Computer Machinery’s Special Interest Group for Computer Human Interaction.
Under the theme ‘Building Bridges, Breaking Barriers’, the conference aims to inspire African researchers, practitioners, students and teachers to deepen and extend Interaction Design and Human Computer Interaction (HCI) in Africa.
AfriCHI seeks to attract participants from a range of disciplines, sectors, and knowledge heritages: user experience designers, mobile application designers, information architects, software engineers, human factors experts, information systems analysts, social scientists, digital designers, artists and architects, engineers, planners, managers, scholars and practitioners in creative industries and science and technology studies, NGO practitioners, grassroots activists, and entrepreneurs.
