UNIDIR: Exploring Futures for Peace, Security and Disarmament

The launch of the UN Institute for Disarmament Research (UNIDIR) report on ‘ International Security in 2045: Exploring Futures for Peace, Security and Disarmament’ will be held in a hybrid format on 14 December 2023 at the Palais des Nations in Geneva, Switzerland.

In order to maintain international peace and security and achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the report, which will be discussed, explores threats to international security linked to disarmament and proposes actions to tackle these challenges. The goal is to contribute to ongoing UN efforts, particularly the 2024 Summit of the Future, by stimulating conversations and generating interest in addressing global challenges.
