Content policy touches on multiple human rights subjects, from freedom of expression and gender rights online to the rights of persons with disabilities. The Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) reports on the need to combat violent extremism online and account for the rights of human rights defenders. The ICT for Peace Foundation (ICT4Peace) is dedicated to preventing the malicious use of information and communication technologies (ICTs) for terrorist purposes.
