The United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) is a specialized agency of the UN that aims to assist member states in economic and industrial development. Founded in 1966 by the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), the organization today includes 170 members and is present in 60 difficult countries worldwide. UNIDO is headquartered in Vienna, and is a member of the United Nations Development Group dedicated to the realisation of 2030 Agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals.
