Mr Ouanes Aiouaz (Business Partnership Manager at Sofrecom Group) presented Sofrecom, a consulting and engineering company specialising in the telecommunications sector. Sofrecom supports the development of service providers, governments, regulators, and international institutions. It is committed to turn the digital transformation into economic, social, and environmental development. Aiouaz spoke about the use of information and communication technologies to achieve the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The highest correlations are between information and communication technology and SDG goal 4 (quality education), goal 3 (good health and well-being for people), goal 9 (industry, innovation and infrastructure), goal 5 (gender equality), goal 11 (sustainable cities and economies), and goal 7 (affordable and clean energy). Aiouaz also spoke about Sofrecom’s expertise and the consulting and customised solutions the company offers.
