Africa Internet Summit 2017
The Africa Internet Summit (AIS) will be held on 21 May – 2 June 2017, in Nairobi, Kenya. The event is organised by the African Network Information Centre (AFRINIC) and the African Network Operators Group, with support from several other regional and international partners.
The aim of the Summit is to bring together the African Internet community (academia, public and private sectors, technical organisations, governmental institutions, and civil society), as well as international experts, to discuss Internet-related issues and challenges. Topics to be tackled will include, amon others, mobile networking, applications, cybersecurity, cyber laws, Internet governance, information and communications technology (ICT) for development, and African ICT success stories. The programme will consist of seminars, workshops, tutorials, conference sessions, and other forums for sharing ICT and Internet knowledge within the African region.
