Aid & Development Africa Summit
The second annual Aid & Development Africa Summit will be held on 28 February – 1 March, in Nairobi, Kenya.
The summit will look at how technological innovations and best practices can improve aid delivery and development strategy in East Africa. The agenda will include case studies, panel discussions, workshops and interactive roundtable sessions on issues such as: mobile technology innovations to support community resilience; data strategy to support sustainable development goals; emergency communication, connectivity, an social networks; innovation, partnerships and policy updates for disaster preparedness; and cash-based programmes and financial inclusion.
The event will bring together senior representatives and advisors from regional governments, United Nations agencies, international and regional non-governmental organisations, investors and donors, research institutes, and the private sector. Participants will have the opportunity to: hear latest trends in humanitarian logistics, innovations in health, security of aid workers and communities, camp management, mobile for development and financing; discover new innovations and practical solutions from peers and leading solution providers involved in the humanitarian aid and development in Sub-Saharan East Africa; and build long lasting partnerships and effective collaborations via structured networking opportunities, exchange ideas and influence regional development and humanitarian goals.
