Annual Privacy Forum 2019
The Annual Privacy Forum is organised by the European Union Agency for Network and Information Security (ENISA), the European Commission Directorate-General for Communications Networks, Content and Technology (DG CONNECT), the University of Rome Tor Vergata, and the LUISS University. The forum will be held on 13-14 June 2019 in Rome, Italy.
While recognising that the European legal framework, namely the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the soon to be introduced Regulation on Privacy and Electronic Communications, provides considerable privacy protection for its citizens, the EU acknowledges the importance of maintaining the legislative efforts in order to keep up with technological developments. The aim of the forum is thus to identify the stakes of and risks for privacy.
