AoIR 2023

The Association of Internet Researchers (AoIR) will be held in a hybrid format from 18 until 21 October 2023 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA.

The main theme of the event is revolutions and their contingent promises and failures related to digital technologies. As such, the event aims to bring together academics to share their knowledge and submit their proposals on topics including but not limited to: Revolutions, the rhetoric of revolution, and critiques thereof; The successes and failures of revolutions, both within digital technology and using digital technologies; Revolutionary tactics, actions, and goals; History of revolutions and internet technologies, and Democratization versus mobbing and the politics of mass participation.
