Asia-Pacific Regional Forum on Smart Sustainable Cities and e-Government
The second edition of the Asia-Pacific Regional Forum on Smart Sustainable Cities and e-Government will be held on 30 August – 1 September 2016, in Phuket, Thailand. The forum is organised by the International Telecommunication Union, in collaboration with the the United Nations Office on Governance, the World e-Governments Organization of Cities and Local Governments, Software Industry Promotion Agency of Thailand, and the Electronic Government Agency of Thailand; it will be hosted by the Ministry of Information and Communication Technology of Thailand, and the Phuket Province, and supported by the Australian government.
The event will provide a platform for high-level discussions among development partners, policy makers, decision makers, industry, and enterprise, and it will also offer participants the opportunity to strengthen partnershps and collaboration. Companies will also be able to showcase innovation, products, and services as part of the forum’s Exhibition and Investor Dialogues.
The topics that will be addressed as part of the forum’s programme include, among others: the Internet of Things; digital transformation, economies, and societies; smart cities and sustainable development; emerging e-government issues and trends; and cybersecurity and public safety.
