Boao Forum for Asia Annual Conference 2017
The 2017 edition of the Boao Forum for Asia Annual Conference will be held in 23–26 May 2017, in Boao, Hainan Province, China.
Under the overarching theme ‘Globalisation & Free Trade: The Asian Perspective’, the conference will explore, among others, digital policy issues such as the future of education, fintech and its impact on finance, internet startups, intellectual property rights, the fourth industrial revolution, digital currency and blockchain, e-commerce in the context of globalisation and free trade, big data, virtual reality, artificial intelligence, and the sharing economy.
The Boao Forum for Asia is a nongovernmental and nonprofit international organisation dedicated to supporting Asia countries to achieve common development through further integration of the regional economy. The purpose of forum is to promote and deepen the economic exchange, coordination, and cooperation within Asia and between Asia and other parts of the world. It also aims to offer a high-end dialog platform for governments, enterprises, experts, and scholars to jointly discuss economy, society, and environment, and other relevant issues.
