G7 Hiroshima Summit 2023
The G7 Summit will be held from May 19th -21st in Hiroshima, Japan.
Japan assumed the G7 Presidency on 1 January 2023, and it will remain in place until the end of the year when Italy will advance to assume the presidency for the following year.
The G7 Summit gathers the leaders of Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the United Kingdom, and the United States, along with the presidents of the European Council and the European Commission, to discuss global policy issues of high relevance on diplomatic agenda.
The global economy, energy and food security, geopolitical issues such as the Indo-Pacific and Ukraine, nuclear disarmament and non-proliferation, economic security, and urgent global issues including climate change, global health, and development are just a few of the crucial topics that Prime Minister Kishida Fumio outlined as Japans priorities for G7 presidency.
