Geneva Internet L@W Research Colloquium 2018
The 2018 Geneva Internet L@W Research Colloquium will be held on 22 June 2018 in Geneva, Switzerland. The colloquium will be organised by the Faculty of Law at the University of Geneva (UNOG), in collaboration with the Berkman Center for Internet & Society at Harvard University, the CRIDES Center for Economic Law and Society at the Catholic University of Louvain (UCL), the Geneva Internet Platform (GIP), and the Institute for Technology and Society of Rio (ITS).
The colloquium will provide Internet law researchers with the opportunity to:
- Present their work-in-progress to a panel of experienced Internet law experts
- Engage with one another in an informal setting
- Have in-depth discussions and exchanges
- Receive helpful feedback and advice
Select participants will also have a speaking opportunity at the Geneva Internet L@w Summer School. Topics to be covered at the colloquium include, inter alia:
- Emerging technologies
- Cybersecurity
- Digital privacy and online surveillance
- Cloud computing
- Internet infrastructure
Applicants are expected to be researchers whose research would benefit from feedback provided by senoir colleagues and peers. Submissions for the colloquium are open until 15 May 2018. For more information, visit the event website.
