The Global Debate on Intellectual Property, Trade and Development: Past, Present and Future

The University of Minnesota Law School in cooperation with The Faculty of Law of the University of Geneva and the Centre for International Governance Innovation (CIGI) will organise a Global Debate on Intellectual Property, Trade and Development: Past, Present and Future on 15 June 2017, in Geneva, Switzerland.

Topics featuring in the programme of the conference include intellectual property governane and the rise of the regulatory state; trends in intellectual property norm setting; technology transfer in innovation and trade; global intellectual property rights and implications of new innovation models; a development-centred approach to intellectual property implementation and enforcement; and fostering new challenges to the intellectual property system – the fourth industrial revolution, new boundaries, and negotiation topics.
