IGF 2018: Call for Issues
The Secretariat of the Internet Governance Forum (IGF) has issued a Call for issues inviting IGF stakeholders to suggest Internet governance issues of high interests to be discussed at the IGF 2018 meeting.
The call invites stakeholders to submit issues under several proposed baskets: cybersecurity, trust, and privacy; digital inclusion and accessibility; emerging technologies (artificial intelligence, distributed ledger, etc.); evolution of Internet governance; gender and youth; human rights; innovation and economic issues; media and content; and technical and operation issues. Proponents can also suggest otker baskets, if their issues do not fit under the existing ones.
The Multistakeholder Advisory Group (MAG), with support from the IGF Secretariat, will review and compile the proposed issues, to determine the presense of cross-cutting issues and the preferences of the community. Following an assessment of the community preferences and priorities, a traditional call for workshops will be launched in keeping with the current methodology and criteria.
