International Data Responsibility Conference
The International Data Responsibility Conference will be held on 3 March 2017, in The Hague, Netherlands.
Organised by the International Data Responsibility Group (IDRG), the conference will bring together experts and practitioners working with data for crisis-affected communities and the most at-risk populations worlwide. The event will feature presentations and interactive workshops mainly focused on the potential risks and harms that could be used by using such data, and ways to prevent these from materialising. The theme for the conference will be the potential risks of collecting and processing digital data in the European migration crisis.
Integrated in the programme of the conference will be the presentation of the annual report of the IDRG, which will offer an overview of the group’s latest work on data responsibility in the peace, justice and humanitarian sectors.
