ITU Council Working Group (CWG) on Child Online Protection
CWG Child Online Protection (COP) focused its 17th meeting on discussions around the ITU Child online protection initiative and the implementation of the 2020 Child online protection guidelines. The agenda also included contributions from member states on issues such as the promotion of healthy use of technology by children and the challenges in using encryption protocols on the internet. The CWG-COP maintains an ongoing online public consultation inviting children and young adults between 15–24 years of age to help identify solutions to online safety challenges. The results of the consultation will inform the policy and programme recommendations issued by the group.
