ITU CWG Child Online Protection – 13th Meeting
The International Telecommunication Union (ITU) Council Working Group on Child Online Protection will hold its 14th meeting on 23 January 2018, at the ITU Headquarters, in Geneva, Switzerland. The Working Group was established by the ITU Council with the aim to exchange views and promote and work on issues related to child online protection.
The meeting is open to ITU member states, sector members, and relevant experts. The agenda will include, among others: an update on the ITU Child Online Protection Initiative, a review of the Youth Online Consultation conducted in 2017, and contributions from other stakeholders, such as the UK Safer Internet Centre and the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF).
ITU members can submit comments in advance of the meeting; the deadline for submission is 17 January 2018.
