ITU Focus Group on Data Processing and Management to Support IoT and Smart Cities & Communities
The first meeting of the Focus Group on Data Processing and Management to Support IoT and Smart Cities & Communities will be held on 17–19 July 2017, at the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) headquarters, in Geneva, Switzerland.
The Focus Group was created by Study Group 20 of the ITU Telecommunication Stamdardization Sector (ITU-T), with the aim to conduct research, and identify and study characteristics of effective smart cities and communities (SC&C) data management systems. The group will provide a platform to share views, to develop a series of deliverables, and showcase initiatives, projects, and standards activities linked to data processing and management and establishment of Internet of Things (IoT) ecosytem solutions for data focused cities. The group is open for participation to ITU member states, sector members, associates, academia and to any individual from a country that is a member of ITU and who is willing to contribute to the work.
