ITU-T Focus Group on Application of Distributed Ledger Technology – Second Meeting
The second meeting of the ITU Telecommunication Standardization Sector (ITU-T) Focus Group on the Application of Distributed Ledger Technology (FG DLT) will be held on 5–7 February 2018, in Bern, Switzerland.
The objectives of the focus group include to identify and analyse DLT-based applications and services; to draw up best practices and guidance which support the implementation of those applications and services on a global scale; and to propose a way forward for related standardisation work in ITU-T study groups.
Participation in the FG DLT is open to any interested party, including to ITU member states, sector members, associates, academia, and any individual from a country that is a member of ITU and who is willing to contribute to the work.
During its second meeting, the group will continue its work on developing a standardisation roadmap for interoperable DLT-based services, taking into consideration the activities underway in ITU, and other standards developing organisations, forums, and groups. Members can submit contributions in advance of the meeting, before 29 January 2018.
