ITU-T Focus Group on Data Processing and Management to support IoT and Smart Cities & Communities – Second Meeting
The second meeting of the ITU Telecommunication Standardization Sector (ITU-T) Focus Group on Data Processing and Management to support IoT and Smart Cities & Communities (FG-DPM) will be held on 20–25 October 2017, at the ITU headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland.
FG-DPM was established in March 2017, by ITU-T Study Group 20, with the aim to provide a platform for stakeholders to share views, develop deliverables, and showcase initiatives, projects, and standards activities linked to data processing and management, and establishment of Internet of Things (IoT) ecosystem solutions for data focused cities. The group is open to ITU member states, sector members, associates, academia, and to any individual from a country that is a member of ITU and who is willing to contribute to the work, including individuals who are also members or representatives of interested standards development organisations.
The focus group is composed of five working groups focused on: use case, requirements and applications/services; framework, architectures, and core components; data sharing, interoperability, and blockchain; security, privacy and trust including governance; and data economy, commercialisation, and monitization.
Written contributions to the FG-DPM work can be submitted until 13 October. Registration is also open until 13 October.
