ITU-T Focus Group Digital Financial Services – 6th Meeting
The Focus Group on Digital Financial Services (FG DFS) of the International Telecommunication Union’s Telecommunication Standardization Sector (ITU-T) will hold its 6th meeting on 19-22 September 2016 in Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania.
The Group acts an an open platform for digital financial services stakeholders – such as telecom regulators, financial services regulators, digital financial services providers, payment platform providers, mobile network operators, international organisations, and industry forums and consortia – to share knowledge and lessons learned in the field of digital financial services, with the objective of identifying the standardised frameworks needed to support the scaling up of digital financial services usage globally.
The four-day meeting will include debates on issues such as: quality of service in digital financial services, trust provision in information and communications technology infrastructure and services; digital credit and regulatory issues; social media networks and digital financial services; data protection in the context of digital financial services; technology, innovation and competition; consumer experience and protection.
