ITU-T Study Group 12 – Performance, QoS and QoE
Study Group 12 (SG12) of the International Telecommunication Union Telecommunication Standardization Sector (ITU-T) will hold a meeting on 10-19 January 2017, in Geneva, Switzerland, at the ITU Headquarters.
ITU-T Study Group 12 is responsible for the development of international standards (ITU-T Recommendations) on performance, quality of service (QoS) and quality of experience (QoE). This work spans the full spectrum of terminals, networks and services, ranging from speech over fixed circuit-switched networks to multimedia applications over mobile and packet-based networks.
The group’s January meeting will feature discussions on issues related to:
- main decisions taken by World Telecommunication Standardization Assembly (WTSA) 2016 with regard to the group’s activity;
- organisation of the group’s work;
- discussion on group’s questions 1/12 – SG12 work programme and quality of service/quality of experience (QoS/QoE) coordination in ITU-T, and 2/12 Definitions, guides and frameworks related to quality of service/quality of experience.
