Octopus Conference 2023
The Octopus Conference on Cooperation on Cybercrime & Electronic Evidence will be held on 13-15 December 2023 in Bucharest, Romania.
The Octopus Conference is part of the Council of Europe initiative. It relies on voluntary contributions to aid the implementation of the Budapest Convention on Cybercrime and tackle emerging challenges from 2020.
The conference brings together cybercrime experts from more than 100 countries, international organizations, the private sector, and academia to exchange their views and knowledge regarding cybercrime. This year the focus will be on securing and sharing electronic evidence and capacity building on cybercrime and electronic evidence.
Topics that will be covered during the workshop include online child sexual exploitation and abuse, cybercrime and AI, and online xenophobia and racism vs freedom of expression, among others. There will also be four regional workshops focusing on Asia, the Pacific, Africa, Latin American, and the Caribbean.
