Safer Internet Forum
Safer Internet Forum 2016 will be held on 24 November, in Luxembourg. The event is organised by European Schoolnet, on behalf of the European Commission, with funding provided by Connecting Europe Facility programme .
Under the slogan ‘Be the change: principles, policies and practices for a better Internet’, the forum will feature discussions on future challenges and opportunities of the digital society, emerging forms of harmful online behaviour in the age of increasing connectivity, and recent developments in the regulatory framework. Specific topics that will be tackled during the discussions include: hate speech and radicalisation online, child sexual abuse online, harmful content, EU regulatory frameworks, and cooperation with law enforcement agencies.
The event will bring together young people, parent and teacher representatives, industry and government policy makers, technological and awareness-raising experts, and political, educational and social leaders from Europe and beyond.
