STI Forum 2023
The 8th Multi-stakeholder Forum on Science, Technology and Innovation for the Sustainable Development Goals (STI Forum) will take place on 3 and 4 May 2023, in New York, the USA.
This year’s theme is ‘Science, technology and innovation for accelerating the recovery from the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) and the full implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development at all levels’. As in previous years, the theme of the STI Forum will be closely aligned with that of the High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development (HLPF),
As part of the Technology Facilitation Mechanism mandated by the 2030 Agenda and the Addis Ababa Action Agenda, the annual STI Forum provides ‘a venue for facilitating interaction, matchmaking and the establishment of networks between relevant stakeholders and multi-stakeholder partnerships in order to identify and examine technology needs and gaps, including with regard to scientific cooperation, innovation and capacity-building, and also in order to help facilitate development, transfer and dissemination of relevant technologies for the sustainable development goals’.
The STI Forum involves a discussion and networking platform for all actors in the field of science, technology and innovation and is open to member States, UN organizations, civil society, academia, industry and the private sector, as well as accredited individuals.
The deadline for abstract submissions for the Call for inputs (science-policy briefs) to the STI Forum 2023 is 3 February, and the deadline for complete draft submissions is 10 March 2023.
More information about the forum will be made available on the dedicated web page.
