United Nations World Data Forum 2023
The United Nations World Data Forum 2023 will take place from 24 to 27 April 2023 in Hangzhou, China.
The UN World Data Forum’s objectives are to promote data innovation, foster collaboration, mobilise political and financial support for data, and provide a path toward better data for sustainable development.
The UN World Data Forum will be hosted by the Chinese National Bureau of Statistics, with support from the Statistics Division of the UN Department of Economic and Social Affairs (DESA), under the guidance of the UN Statistical Commission and the High-level Group for Partnership, Coordination and Capacity-Building for Statistics for the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development (HLG-PCCB). The forum will be focused on the following thematic areas:
- Innovation and partnerships for better and more inclusive data;
- Maximising the use and value of data for better decision-making;
- Building trust and ethics in data;
- Emerging trends and partnerships to develop the data ecosystem.
