Europeana Foundation contributes to reflection on the European Collaborative Cloud for Cultural Heritage
The European Commission launched the European Collaborative Cloud for Cultural Heritage to create a digital workspace. The Europeana Foundation contributes to this initiative by discussing collaboration for cultural heritage preservation and restoration. Calls for funding are open until September 2023.
The European Commission has launched the European Collaborative Cloud for Cultural Heritage initiative, which aims to create a digital workspace for cultural heritage professionals, researchers, and scientists. This initiative is funded under the Horizon Europe Programme of the EU and will provide advanced technologies for cultural heritage preservation, conservation, and restoration purposes.
The Europeana Foundation, as the steward of the common European data space for cultural heritage, participated in the A Cloud for All event organised by the European Commission to discuss the formation of a community of practice for the future Collaborative Cloud. The data space and the Collaborative Cloud can complement each other by sharing data, exchanging frameworks and standards, and collaborating on community and capacity development.
The Europeana Initiative will work with its partners to build complementarities between the data space and the Collaborative Cloud, and the calls for funding are open for submission until September 2023.
