ICANN announces the successful evaluation of the proposed IDN ccTLD for Bulgaria
ICANN has announced that the proposal submitted by the Bulgarian government for an Internationalised Domain Name (IDN) country code domain (ccTLD) has successfully passed the string evaluation process. This means that the requested IDN ccTLD (in Cyrillic alphabet) is now pending delegation into the root zone. According to ICANN, requests from 39 countries/territories have successfully passed the evaluation stage as of now, and, for 33 of them, the IDN ccTLDs are already delegated into the root zone. This means a total of 43 IDN ccTLD already available in the Domain Name System.
