GAC overview of the ICANN77 policy forum is now public
The GAC communiqué is now available for the public review at the ICANN webpage
The Governmental Advisory Committee (GAC) of the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) met in Washington, US, in a hybrid setting, including remote participation, from 12 to 15 June 2023.
At the ICANN77, ICANN’s annual policy forum, the GAC held meetings related to the generic top-level domains (gTLD) across the ICANN organisation. The GAC actively participated in discussions around the Closed Generic gTLDs Draft Framework, which is consider for handling applications for closed generic gTLDs in the next round of ICANN’s New gTLD Program.
