IWG releases Luxembourg Guidelines on terminology
The Interagency Working Group (IWG) on Sexual Exploitation of Children has released the Terminology Guidelines for the Protection of Children from Sexual Exploitation and Sexual Abuse, which were adopted in January 2016, in Luxembourg. The guidelines, also known as the Luxembourg Guidelines, provide stakeholders working for the prevention and elimination of all forms of sexual exploitation and sexual abuse of children with guidance for the understanding and use of the different terms and concepts they may encounter in their work. The IWG, which comprises representatives from key organisations working in the field of child safety online, was set up for the purpose of drafting the guidelines.
