ITU Survey: Cyberbullying as key concern related to children online
In a build up to Safer Internet day, the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) conducted a survey on Twitter and LinkedIn to find out what worries its followers most about children online. Cyberbullying was the top concern of most respondents (40%) followed by data protection lapses (27%) and the threat of online grooming (26%). Other risks highlighted were excessive screen time and children not having adequate awareness of mechanisms for reporting online threats.
