Government of Slovenia adopts systemic bill to promote digital literacy
The Government of Slovenia announced a systemic bill to promote digital inclusion by improving digital skills. This is supported by a scheme of EUR 150 digital vouchers provided to secondary school kids, students, and adults over 55 to help them undertake various digital literacy courses or buy digital devices. In this vein, over EUR 31 million has been allocated to subsidise the courses and digital devices purchases in 2022. ‘We will achieve 80% of adults having at least basic digital competencies by 2028. But since skills without computer equipment are not enough, the bill introduces the option of financial incentives to buy it,’ explained Minister for Digital Transformation Mark Boris Andrijanič.
