SWIFT will disconnect Russian banks on 12 March
SWIFT has confirmed that it will disconnect from the international payment system seven designated Russian entities (and their designated Russia-based subsidiaries) under the European Union sanctions on 12 March. The measure will be taken in compliance with legal instruction in EU Council Regulation 2022/345 of 1 March 2022.
