Roskomnadzor demands TikTok lift restrictions on video of Russian president’s address
Roskomnadzor, Russia’s telecoms watchdog, has requested that TikTok immediately remove its ban on video of Russian President Vladimir Putin’s address. The agency demanded an explanation as to why the ban was implemented, as well as why TikTok has blocked access to the audio recording of the video for international viewers. These restrictions contradict the fundamental principles of the free circulation of information and unrestricted access to it, concluded Roskomnadzor.
