Report on Child Online Safety: Minimizing the risk of violence, abuse and exploitation online released
The Broadband Commission for Sustainable Development has released a report on ‘Child Online Safety: Minimizing the risk of violence, abuse and exploitation online’. The report highlights that while the increase in Internet penetration has the potential to transform the lives of children, it also makes them vulnerable to online harassment, bullying, sexual abuse, recruitment by extremist groups, and other risks. The report recommends all stakeholders to adopt a collaborative approach to address all forms of violence, abuse and exploitation they face online and ensure that children remain safe online.
