Egypt to rely on e-learning in 2021
Egypt’s Minister of Education Tarek Shawky presented a proposal for a hybrid system integrating face-to-face teaching and distance learning for the 2020-2021 academic year. The new strategy attempts to avoid students gathering at educational establishments and ensure safe study with COVID-19 coexistence plans in place. This is part of the ministry’s efforts to develop e-learning and distance learning capacities through establishing a digital library containing English and Arabic curricula for all stages of the education system.
