Dutch data protection authority calls for improvement of COVID-19 app
According to Dutch News, the Dutch data protection authority (DPA) has told the Dutch government that more improvements were needed with its Coronavirus tracking app, regarding privacy and personal data controls. It signaled that no clear agreements have been reached with Google and Apple about the reprocessing data collected via the app. As the app has already been downloaded over 430 000 times, the DPA also calls for introducing regulation on the use of the app, in particular on the right to choose whether or not to use it.
