TikTok sues US administration for ban via Executive Order from 6 August 2020
TikTok filed a legal action against the US administration to invalidate the Executive Order No. 13942 banning the app in the USA. TikTok claims that Trump lacked proper legal authority to issue the order, saying he misused the International Emergency Economic Powers Act, which lets the president regulate international commerce during a national emergency.
