Pakistan bans TikTok due to inappropriate content
The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority has banned TikTok for failing to filter out ‘immoral and indecent’ content, after it issued a final warning in July 2020. Pakistan has media regulations adhering to conservative social customs which do not allow for dissemination of content considered ‘vulgar’.
