Google remove popular Android apps over data protection violations
According to TechCrunch, three popular Android apps aimed at younger users were recently found to be violating Google’s data collection policies. The three apps in question are Princess Salon, Number Coloring and Cats & Cosplay. Having been downloaded 20 million times, the apps we found to potentially access users’ Android ID and AAID (Android Advertising ID) numbers, and ‘bypass privacy controls and track users over time and across devices.’
